One of the Most Misunderstood Mental Illnesses, Bipolar Disorder

Several close friends know about my mental illnesses more than others that know the basics of what I deal with. But one of the ones I deal with the most having the most arguments, have fingers pointing at me, looking like a monster is my Bipolar Disorder.

There is a great understanding of depression, people know the different levels of depression and anxiety as it is very common. The history of seizures and stroke and being an epileptic is somewhat understandable. Knowing the patterns and symptoms that lead and continue with people who suffer from stroke and seizures. But bipolar has the most realistic stigma.

Although I am not diagnosed with bipolar I have been described by doctors as suffering from bipolar and describe what is going on with myself with bipolar. It leads to mistrust within friends and family. Having drastic changes in my mood instantaneously has caused some stress and sometimes escalating situations. I wake up rather late lately around 12pm and usually take my medication around then but some days not until 3pm between that time my mood escalates while there may not be any signs or symptoms people around me are confused and feel mislead.

Sometimes some symptoms of OCD come into play to fill the time trying not to focus purely on my thoughts I need something to do. So I get up and gather laundry about 5 loads of laundry I get a little snappy to others at home. I get very serious about getting things done not letting things be put off. Anxiety builds up and cloudy thoughts are all I have. My memory is 50/50 very stuck finding words for what is happening and why. Hard to explain to others what exactly is happening. My girlfriend like for things to be clear and to the point but they’re is no one answer to what is happening. Especially during my manic episodes. I also can’t explain in the moment.

Until I get a full understanding I don’t know what’s next.

If you have a loved one who deals with any mental illness comment below some details I’d love to hear your experience and give you my support.

Thank you until next time

Why Was I Gone? What Happened?

Hey Everyone,

I've been on a hiatus lately due to my beat store on Beatstars got reduced to a free subscription and only allowed 10 beats on my beat store. so with that being said I had to find a different option. my preferred alternative is my own website with hosting and my own Domain name from some words from Curtiss King after the dilemma with Beatstars being hacked and they had to re-adjust the website so it had more security. While the domain name and hosting would run around 120$ for 3 years. I'm still having difficulties with health and work, it has been a very difficult process finding work that wont interfere with my health. My New Temporary solution is running a beat store through Soundclick. while it isn't as popular anymore I think it is still good enough for producers to use to sell beats.

I Have 70-90 Beats ill be uploading to soundclick in the next few days and ill have the Beat Store Player on this blog on the Beats Tab. Check it out and let me know how your liking it.

Im Glad to Be Back,

Until Next Time,

Bridging the Gap between Rappers and Producers

Hello Everyone,

Ive joined about 3-4 Facebook Groups over the last few months connecting with Rappers and Music Producers around several different topics. I had my first conversation today January 16 2019, and I had an epiphany that relates back to my earlier years learning about the recording and mixing process. I started a Portable Recording Studio program called Portastudio after Tascam's Portastudio Portable 32 track mixer. In the Beginning my first few students were pretty difficult to work with, some of them I got along well with, due to them having some knowledge of the process and the others I had a difficulty working with. They were more focused on the end result. They didn't know how much time and patience went into it. They also had a difficulty understanding how buying beats worked. I was very against ripping beats off Youtube and them recording vocals over them saying they cant release it. Going against my word sharing it on Soundcloud and Facebook. Eventually we parted ways. I did this program for free and was taken advantage of for my time, money spent on equipment, and work done. I realize they're lack of understanding and discipline is what was wrong, they needed to know the basics before jumping behind the mic. The most important thing for both producers and rappers right now is information. Believing myths of the music industry and the recording process is giving us a false representation of the craft. So over the next few weeks ill be going over topics like clearing samples, and mastering beats if you should or not and copywrite rules and how distribution works (distrokid, tunecore, cd baby).

thank you for reading have a great day and keep on learning

Clean Start for 2019

So Since the stress, overwhelming uncertainty of Christmas is over (sorry, too dramatic). I got my last two checks from Fedex a job I had for a few weeks and was putting 50% or more towards pushing my music and beat selling business forward things happened I had to pay my monthly subscriptions to Splice for Izotope Ozone and neutron bundle as well as studio one 4 and my Beatstars unlimited account totaling almost 50$ in total it was unexpected that my expenses weren't balanced I felt stuck. usually as unusual as it is the one thing that gets me back up to make a backup plan is winning between 50-100$ at the casino. while I don't condone gambling having supportive people around helps motivate you to do the right thing make a plan and make that money stretch. one thing I've done that I've found very useful is getting almost everything except for food at a second hand store. especially the free section of sites like craigslist OfferUp or LetGo. second Ive found a few ways to save money without the need to withdraw frequently. apps like acorn or stash saving an amount per week starting at 5$ as well as investing with as low as 5$. another thing I've found to help with beat making especially is having shortcuts to my workflow spending one or two days a week making templates of my beats picking out sounds and sampling myself sampling sounds from some of the plugins I own between 5-10 melody ideas and loops as well as making drum sounds layering and building kits with different tools. one of the best ways I've learned to make drum sounds comes from Sampling household items or with a field recorder learning synthesis to craft the sampled sounds and layer samples and add effects. What's my plan is for 2019? deliver more value than I receive. I intend to have a main topic I talk about in the blog but provide multiple type of expertise. while its heavily music production it will provide insight on Sound design mixing techniques news on VST plugins, free drum kits free beats often and working with artists and use social media. another side hustle I've begun will be incorporated it is Ebay reselling, flipping free stuff of off Craiglist, Offerup and finds at second hand thrift shops. 2019 is the year to do something different. Would you combine multiple business ventures or keep them separate? let me know!
